It all depends on the type of property you have, your finance and your needs.
Our advice is to get a few quotes, read more about each type of boiler to know what to choose and why you want to make that choice. Talk to gas engineers and explain what you want or what you are after. Ask as many questions as you have, the more you know the better.
The types of boiler that gas engineers can install:
- conventional boiler
- system boiler
- combination boiler
If your property is relatively small, conventional boiler might not be a good choice. The conventional boiler requires a water cylinder and a cold water tank, it sends hot water to all the taps without the pressure being lost.
The system boiler has the water supply coming straight from the mains and the important components like the expansion vessel and the pump are built in.
- 24kw combi boiler – 1/2 bedroom apartment or small house
- 30kw – 2/3 bedroom with one bathroom
- 35kw – 3/4 bedrooms with 1 bathroom
- 40kw – 3/4 bedrooms with 2 bathrooms
Central heating installation is a complex and intensive job, includes fitting major components like the pipework throughout the premises, radiators, boiler, water storage tanks, expansion vessels, pump, control , thermostat radiator valves and other components.
Our gas engineers always use their knowledge and experience to give advice regarding the heating system requirements, system design, installation or upgrading.
